For the last 8 years Jon has been running a 1100ha sheep & beef farming business in the North Waikato – 3500 breeding ewes, 300 heifers and 600 bulls. His home farm has been in the family for 3 generations.
Jon studied Ag Science at Massey and trained as an agriculture consultant in the late 1990’s and is currently a Farmer Councillor on the Mid-Northern Beef & Lamb Farmer Council. Before coming back to the home farm he owned and ran a livestock market information service called iFarm before selling the business to NZX Agri in 2015. Jon brings significant experience to the Maui Milk farming team and we are excited to have him on board!
